This Privacy Statement describes the practices and objectives of Villas Asistenciales Santa María, A.B.P. (“Villas”, “we”, “us”), related to the collection, purposes, uses and handling of Sensitive and Non-Sensitive Personal Data gathered from beneficiaries and, in certain cases, from interested parties, suppliers, and the general public (“you”) through our activities and through our website. Any updates to this Statement will be published and announced in our website, mentioned at the next paragraph.
Villas Asistenciales Santa María, A.B.P. and its board of trustees, with address at Tercera avenida 901, Colonia Zimix, Santa Catarina N.L. C.P. 66358, and with website https://www.villas.org.mx/, has as its mission to provide a basis for the integral development of vulnerable children and teenagers, through a Care Model (Modelo de Atención) specialized in the affective, emotional and intellectual areas, with a perspective on family and community strengthening. Villas considers privacy and the good management of personal data to be extremely valuable, and even more so when the owners of these are minors; therefore, being responsible for the use and protection of their personal data, we adhere to the requirements of the corresponding Mexican laws, and in this regard we inform you of the following:, tiene como misión proveer una base para el desarrollo integral de niños, niñas y adolescentes en vulnerabilidad, a través de un modelo de atención personalizado en los ámbitos afectivos, emotivos e intelectuales, con perspectiva en el fortalecimiento familiar y comunitario. Villas considera sumamente valiosa la privacidad y el buen manejo de los datos personales, y más aún cuando son menores de edad los titulares de estos, por lo que, siendo responsable del uso y protección de sus datos personales, nos apegamos a los requerimientos de la disposición normativa mexicana concerniente, y al respecto le informamos lo siguiente:
For what purposes do we collect your Data?
Your Sensitive and Non-Sensitive Personal Data, as we mentioned above, are necessary to correctly and effectively achieve our purposes as an organization, and to provide the services you request. For a better understanding of our purposes, we have broken them down into the following:
i) To properly control and manage our database and our in-person and/or remote services.
ii) To put into practice our solid model of intervention for the comprehensive development of children and teenagers and their families, this being a tool for rebuilding the social fabric.
iii) To effectively apply, through evaluations, diagnoses and other measurement instruments, the intervention variables identified for the Care Model (Modelo de Atención) designed by the organization.
iv) To provide its child care services at its facilities and remotely.
v) Generally, to fulfill the mission, value, vision and value offer that we have as the foundation and guide of Villas Asistenciales Santa María, A.B.P.
How do we collect your Data?
Villas collects Sensitive and Non-Sensitive Personal Data through the interactions you have with us, some of which are mandatory for the owner to be able to use our services or learn about them, while the rest of them are optional. These interactions consist of the following: i) That you voluntarily provide us with your Personal Data when contacting us through the website; ii) That you partially or completely carry out one or more registration processes; iii) That you sign a document issued and required by the organization; iv) That in a specific situation, it is expressly required of you.
On the other hand, we must inform you that your image may be recorded in our facilities, since we have video surveillance systems. In order to access the facilities, you must authorize that you may be recorded and accept that said recordings will be available to the competent authorities if required. This applies to beneficiaries, collaborators, suppliers and the general public.
It should be noted that as a parent or guardian, by signing the legal documents necessary to register with us, you will have read and accepted the terms of authorization that you grant us. These consist of granting us the power to disseminate and use the image of the minor in all internal and external advertising and communications in print and digital media, including but not limited to brochures, presentations, videos and publications on social media to achieve the purposes of this organization.
What is Sensitive Personal Data?
According to Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de Particulares (Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties), while Personal Data refers to data that provides any information concerning the person, Sensitive Personal Data refers to specific personal data that may affect the most intimate aspects of its owner, or whose improper use may encourage discrimination or even entail a serious risk for the owner. In particular, those that may reveal aspects such as racial or ethnic origin, present and future health status, genetic information, religious, philosophical and moral beliefs, union membership, political opinions and sexual preference are considered sensitive. At Villas, we treat this data with utmost discretion and care, in addition to limiting ourselves to using those that are strictly necessary to achieve our purposes in favor of the beneficiaries and those who trust in our work.
What Sensitive and/or Non-Sensitive Personal Data do we collect?
In order to fully and effectively achieve our mission as an organization, we are required to collect and compile the following Non-Sensitive Personal Data from our beneficiaries: i) Names of the minor's parents; ii) INE and CURP of the minor's parents; iii) Birth certificates of the beneficiary and their parents; iv) Home addresses; v) Contact telephone numbers (landline and cell phone); vi) Email address; vii) Weekly income of the family; viii) CURP of the minor; ix) Workplace of the minor's parents; x) Names and INE of the relatives and/or people authorized to pick up the minor after or during school time; xi) Legal custody status of the children, when the situation requires it.
On the other hand, these are the Sensitive Personal Data that we collect from our beneficiaries to ensure better assistance and support: i) Family situation and composition; ii) Results of children's development assessments; iii) Developmental disorders diagnosed by external professionals; iv) Information about therapies that both children and their parents may be receiving to improve the family environment and to support the child’s development; v) Vaccination card; vi) Medical history of the minor; vii) Information about legal problems that the family may go through that could allow us to identify the children's needs and to address them in the best possible way; viii) Adverse situations or family crises.
We receive medical information from the IMSS of the beneficiaries, opinions and medical history that are conducted on the children in the previous institution with the pertinent recommendations. Also, when a beneficiary is psychologically evaluated by an external professional, the diagnoses and recommendations for approach are shared with us. We also request, if they exist, court orders to verify custody or parental authority in cases where the situation so requires, as well as restraining orders that may exist for one of the parents.
Who has access to your Sensitive and/or Non-Sensitive Personal Data?
Villas collects and uses your Sensitive and Non-Sensitive Personal Data exclusively for the achievement of our purposes. Only authorized collaborators, in accordance with their function, will access and process your Sensitive and/or Non-Sensitive Personal Data under confidentiality and discretion. In addition to our internal processes, we share your data with a limited number of third parties in cases where it is necessary for the proper and effective achievement of our purposes. In the following section you can check who they are, what kind of information we share with them and for what purpose.
With whom do we share your Personal Data and for what purposes?
From data generated from developmental assessments for continuous improvement purposes, information will be shared with academics, with the intention of generating knowledge related to child development and in favor of the continuous improvement of our Care Model (Modelo de Atención). It should be noted that the use of the information will be aggregated, that is, it does not represent the research of particular cases or the exposure of names or circumstances of any particular person or family.
For other research purposes, authorization is requested to use the data of the results obtained from your children during their time in the Villas program, maintaining the confidentiality of each family and each child. For this authorization, which is for improving our programs and research, there is a question at the end of a survey that we conduct with parents via Google Forms, where you can choose whether to accept or reject the use of that data for these purpose.
To protect against accidents within our facilities, the parent or guardian must fill out and sign an insurance policy (from Seguros Inbursa, S.A. Grupo Financiero Inbursa) which belongs to our civil liability coverage policy.
For registration purposes in the educational system, we share data with the Secretaría de Educación Pública (Ministry of Public Education); with the IMSS, where parents directly register in the IMSS platform, and where the data we collect during their time at the institution will be registered.
To verify attendance and the use of the scholarship that the Government of Nuevo León provides to children, we share the necessary data with the Secretaría de Igualdad e Inclusión (Ministry of Equality and Inclusion).
The personal data that is sent to the Secretaría de Igualdad e Inclusión (Ministry of Equality and Inclusion) is provided directly by parents to the State’s Government when they request financial support.
And generally, we share your required personal data with public and private institutions, so that they can donate resources to subsidize the price of services.
How can you limit the use or disclosure of your Sensitive or Non-Sensitive Personal Data?

What are ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation or opposition)?
Access:
The owners of personal data have the right to access their personal information in the possession of third parties, in order to know what they possess and its status, that is, if it is correct and updated, or to know for what purposes it is used.
Rectification:
The owners of personal data have the right to rectify their personal information, when it turns out to be incomplete or inaccurate.
Cancellation:
The owners of personal data can request the deletion of their data when they consider that it is not being used or processed in accordance with the purposes for which it was provided. The deletion of personal data does not always proceed immediately, since sometimes it is necessary to maintain it for legal, liability or contractual purposes. When this happens, the data is blocked and during this time, the personal data cannot be used for any purpose, and once it is concluded, it must be deleted.
Opposition, revocation or limitation of use:
The holders of personal data may oppose or withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data for all secondary purposes to which they have consented or only for some of them. Opposition to consent will not apply in those cases in which the processing of personal information is necessary for compliance with a legal or contractual obligation.
